This past month we’ve heard personal stories from caregivers across the nation. We cried with Liz who cared for her 51-year old husband with cancer as well as both of her parents. We learned what life was like for Marty who cares for his wife Elaine, and how it feels to have known both his “old” Elaine and his “new” Elaine. And we realized that we are all caregivers at some point with Meghan who cared for her Oma when she was only a teenager.
The recurring theme is that when someone becomes unable to care for themselves, it becomes a major life challenge for everyone in that person’s orbit. Which is why we created the Family Caregiver Guide, to comfort and support caregivers no matter where they are on their caregiving journeys.
This free guide offers insight and resources about the many aspects of caregiving, from coordinating doctor’s appointments, managing medications and even end-of-life planning.
We hope your caregiving journey is a positive one. On behalf of everyone at Seniorlink, thank you for being a family caregiver.
